Last week I visited a small town in the middle of coal country and it has a great railroad heritage. While leaving Helper I lucky enough to see this shot out of the corner of my eye.
It was fun having you along with the rest of the NDPES gang and what a great bunch of photos we got. You are right the HDR really brings out the detail under that bridge and also in the sky. It actually looks foreboding here, when in fact it was soft and feathery. Much more dramatic in the photo than in reality.
Chad, this is a stunning photo. I love waterfalls almost hidden within such a natural setting, the yellow of the trees show what the season is and that bridge is fascinating. The rocks look like they reach out and touch the sky. Very well shot!
P.S. I want to thank you for your comment on my fall Mt. Timp image. I think it is my best landscape. I was just in the right place at the right time. Sometimes it does all come together with no need for editing!
Okay explain to me please what Karen is talking about HDR??? I've seen it on her blog too. but I believe it's to hard for my brain to comprehand. Love what you've captured in just the corner of your eye my friend. Hugs D.

Love the HDR, just enough to make this scene POP! Also like the color contrast between the yellow leaves and blue hued sky.
