  • I'm posting an old Yellowstone photo. Scott and I are heading off to Yellowstone the end of this week. We're wanting to get some early spring photos, so for the next few weeks Yellowstone pictures will be a plenty.

Part of what makes this photo so interesting is I have no idea of the size of the spike. It looks like it could be 2 inches tall or it could be the remains of one lone tree that had been burned. The geology and the flora and fauna of Yellowstone lends itself to that kind of thing. Enchanting photo. I can't wait to get up there and see Yellowstone from a totally new perspective.

Wow, Chad, how wonderful. If they are anything like your other photos, they'll be amazing!

We got into the park today even though we don't officially start until tomorrow. There are so many things to photograph, where do you start?

If it weren't for that lone tree this could look like a shot from space showing a large river delta! Great detail. Am also looking forward to the Yellowstone photos.

I love the mystery of this photo—don't know what's sticking up, but it certainly makes an interesting photo. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
